v4.0

And we're back!

There are tons of new updates, and we want to share a few of them. We've redesigned all of STEMpump from the ground up, so expect things to be neater, faster, and more helpful for you.

Discover

The Discover tab has been redesigned, giving you more information on your learning, progress, and a few new things such as Lesson of the Day. This rotates every day, so you'll always find something new. At the top, you'll see a featured course that cycles every week, rather than every day.

However, if you're looking for a daily course, the Lesson of the Day has that content as well.

You'll also see a new Continue Learning section, as well as a new Your Camps section, which we'll talk about in a bit.

Courses

We've added a new tab for Courses, making it easier for you to see what we have to offer.

Choose a subject, and find specific courses which you can filter with topics. Or check out what's popular on STEMpump. Maybe you want to see the recently updated content.

Not sure what to learn? Use STEMpump Dice to find something new. You can reroll the dice as many times as you'd like...

P.S. try shaking your device 😉

Courses now look all-new, with more information and structure than ever before. We've also added Chapters, a new way to section our lessons, quizzes, and projects. And yes - quizzes and projects.

Lessons

Courses now have quizzes and projects, allowing you to practice the knowledge that you just learned. With Quizzes, test what you've learned with multiple choice and text-based questions! And with Projects, apply what've you learned in open exercises to solve real-world problems.

And we've also brought Course Navigation. You don't need to use the back button anymore - just keep moving forward. Or backward. Or across chapters.

Lessons also have been updated to scale with your device's text size, syntax highlighting, and general fixes. Courses have been updated to have more resources and content than ever before.

STEMpump Camps

And there's now Camps tab for STEMpump Camps! Here, you can register and watch live camps. We have new camps every month, going over different topics in STEAM - and they're all free!

When you register for camps, you'll receive a confirmation and reminder email - plus, your camps are stored on device if you ever need to access them quickly or go back.

Favorites

We can't forget about Favorites. We've rebuilt Favorites on a whole new system, allowing more data to be saved, and giving you more control.

Favorite Courses, Camps, Lessons, Projects, Quizzes, whatever. It's as simple as pressing the ★ icon.

And even cooler? The app can detect if you have Favorites from the older system, and transfer them for you. (Not all courses are available for transfer.)

The new Continue Learning feature is built on the same Favorite system - it tracks your last ten pieces of content, allowing you to jump back in, any time. Courses will also start back off where you last left, depending on whether you were recently looking at it.

New Widgets allow you to see your most recent items to continue learning. Just add them to your Home Screen, tap them, and you're back in.

Other

There are so many more updates, but here are a few more we want to highlight:

• Universal Search (search through anything)
• STEMpump Bolt (content scanning)
• Redesigned Dark Mode
• 2x faster load times
• All-new design
• Brand new app navigation

We hope you like this latest STEMpump App update - we'll be rolling out monthly updates to add and update features, so keep on the lookout!
