Welcome!

If you are here, you want to learn FTC Programming. That’s great! This course is designed to help you get your FTC robot fully programmed in Java, even with zero experience.

If you are familiar with FTC, feel free to go about this course freely. You might learn a thing or two, or get a quick refresher. If you want to contribute to this course or want to see something added, contact us.

Why Java?

FTC supports two ways to program a robot: Java or Blocks. Blocks is a drag-and-drop programming language, similar to Scratch. It’s easier for younger students and programmers to learn, but doesn’t have much usage outside of FTC. In this course, we will be using Java. You will learn about all the major aspects of your robot, as well as different ways to program in Java, depending on your skill level.

What's next?

Well, in the next lesson, you will learn a bit about the game you are programming for. If the game isn’t the latest, it will be updated soon. If it’s not updated, contact us.
