This update brings a few significant changes to STEMpump.org.

Library

Gone is the messy layout for dynamic content in the Library. We've simplified it down to a Course of the Week and Camp Card, both of which dynamically update.

You'll always find the most recent or upcoming camp here and can register or watch it. With the new COTW card, you can jump straight into it, just by clicking.

(You'll see these cards in the new STEMpump App update as well 😉)

Mobile (Web)

When accessing STEMpump.org on your phone (or equivalent "handheld" device), you will see a brand new navbar with all new menus!

We've separated both the pages and Universal Search, giving rise to a new Quick Search feature. Press the Search icon, and you'll be directly ready to search. There's more content shown with more space as well!

The Menus are simpler and make it easier to traverse across the site.

Dice

The entire Dice experience has been refreshed, with new animations to make the course (and camp!) randomizing nicer. Try it out!

Universal Search

Universal Search is now at v2! With this new update, you can now search for camps across the site, from the same search bar you know and love.

I'm also excited to share that this Universal Search will also be a part of the next STEMpump App update as well! It's been a challenge to bring the same stuff over, but it's working, and the search experience there will be just as good.

Other Updates

In v3.1 we had to switch to a code highlighting system that was subpar compared to the previous method. Nonetheless, we've reverted to the better standard, with improved speeds and better compatibility. (Yes, the app will also have this 😄)

The backend architecture for STEMpump has been updated as well, as we removed clutter and redundancy, giving a smoother experience. We've also started to make quizzes more dynamic: quizzes now have highlighted syntax if the question contains code.
