Submitting a form

Submit button

The submit button is an input with a type "submit", like this:

What happens after the user clicks the submit button can be specified in the <form> element using attributes, like this:

<form action="example.html" method="GET">

The action specifies where to send the information, and the method specifies how. However, actually making use of the form data after it's submitted requires more than just HTML, so we're not going to go into it right now.
